Robbery Foiled at the Bellagio

Micheal Belton and his band of thieves were trying to perform an "Ocean's-11"-like move at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas. He started out by pepper-spraying a blackjack dealer and another swiped $115,000 in poker chips from the casino table. An employee came and tackled the thief, Belton threw many punches before he then attempted to karate fight. That did not work out very well. After a long wrestling match of trying to escape, he left behind a wig, sunglasses, and all the casino chips. Micheal Belton was arrested and is now being held on $6,000 bail at Clark County Jail. This has been only the second time in recent years that a Bellagio robbery has been foiled.

Girl With Flesh-Eating Disease

A 24-year-old girl from Georgia, Aimee Copeland, is suffering from a very rare flesh-eating disease. She has been in the hospital for 11 days and they are amputating her left leg and removed her abdomen. She was riding a homemade zip line, it snapped and she fell to the ground leaving her with a cut open calf. The bacteria that got into the wound caused necrotizing fasciitis, a deadly infection. Her calf was closed with 22 staples, even after they tried getting this germ that rarely causes flesh-eating disease. Aimee is alive but she is still in critical condition, breathing from a ventilator for oxygen. But because of the breathing tube she cannot talk.

Military Husband "Knocked Forward" While Skyping Wife

A U.S. Army captain in Afghanistan was skyping his wife from 7,500 miles away when all of a sudden his head fell forward onto the computer keys. The wife could see that there was a hole in the closet door which looked like a bullet hole. The wife says that they were chatting on skype and there was no sign that he was in any pain. His wife was frantic in trying to get a hold of someone to see what was going on. After two hours and many phone calls from the wife, two military members arrived in the room her husband had been in and checked his pulse. They never provided any information to his wife about his condition. They couldn't find any wounds on the body. They are still trying to figure out the death of her husband.

Boy Urinates on MacBooks

An 11-year-old student in Pennsylvania urinated on a couple dozen laptops left unattended at his elementary school . The police department claims that the cart and computers were damaged beyond repair. Resulting in over $36,000 of damage. The police department is questioning how and why he did it, it's very hard to urinate over 30 MacBooks because that's a lot of square footage. Apple says that they will not repair the damage that was done to it because it was a biohazard so they will not even touch the Mac. The boy will now be charged for vandalism and criminal mischief. He was not arrested but his case was forwarded to the Cumberland County Juvenile Probation Department.

Jennifer Hudson Trial

Actress and singer Jennifer Hudson was devastated when her brother-in-law, William Balfour, killed three members of  Hudson's family. He started crying in court when they showed graphic pictures of the youngest victim, Hudson's 7-year-old nephew, Julian. Prosecutors say that Balfour targeted the family in an act of vindictiveness against his ex-wife, Julia Hudson, the mother of Julian. It is said that he became enraged by balloons he saw at the home that he thought were from her new boyfriend. Hudson broke down several times on the stand as she  remembered her family. She was the prosecution's first witness. She talked about the last time she saw her family together and the day she found out about the murders. Her sister Julia took the stand after her and claimed the Balfour threatened to kill her family after she told him she didn't want to be with him. Today three of her family's bodies lay to rest. Her mother, brother, and nephew. RIP

Pippa Middleton Under Fire

Pippa Middleton (Sister-in-law of Prince William) was driving in a Audi convertible with three men when all of a sudden one pulled out what appeared to be a weapon and held it in the air. The reason for this was apparently came as France reels from a series of gun massacres across the country.The man took the gun, waved it in the air and pointed it straight at a photographer, who captured that chilling moment. Sources say if the evidence points to her involvement, she will be prosecuted. It was said that even if the gun was fake it is still punishable by up to 2 years in jail for all parties involved.

Woman sticks by her husband's side after he attempted to kill her

Jeffery Stern and his mistress Michelle Gaiser are accused of trying to have his wife killed. Jeffery Stern has been charged with masterminding three failed murder attempts on his wife. "This is a startling revelation, and it severely damages the prosecution's case," DeGuerin said. "Their case relies on the believability of the Gaiser woman." Gaiser is Jeffery Stern's former mistress, and she has pleaded guilty to arranging the attempts on Yvonne Stern's life. In exchange for her guilty plea and cooperation with the government, prosecutors agreed to reduce her possible life sentence to a maximum of 25 years in prison. Yvonne Stern continues to stick by her husband's side through all this commotion.

Door County is spicing up ;)

Door County is really spicing up its dating life! Recently two gals from Door County are dating, and one even marrying!, two famous stars. Afton Greenwood was awaiting in her humble abode in Ellison Bay and all of a sudden Justin Beiber comes on his wild goose chase, flies through her doorway and sweeps her off her feet. They are now living in Ellison Bay with Adam Greenwood and their dog Rusty. The other lucky duckling, Kierra Shumway, is getting married to Harry Styles (singer of the boy band One Direction). They plan to get married on the beach at sunset in Kierra's lovely hometown. Abbie, Kierra's dog, will be the ring barer. Harry admits to Channel 2 News with Tom Brokaw, "I have never been more happy in my entire life!" They also plan on living in Door County for the remainder of Kierra's high school life then moving to the UK and living happily ever after. Stay classy Door County. ;)

Clintonville Booming Noise Heard At Night

 March 19th there was a mysterious booming noise in Clintonville,Wisconsin. Jordan Pfeiler thought it sounded like fireworks exploding underwater. A series of loud bangs and booms woke up folks on the northeast side of this Waupaca County community shortly before 2 a.m. Monday and continued off and on until at least 8 p.m. The rattling, shaking, vibrations and noises induced people to pick up their phones and dial 911 as Clintonville's police dispatch center lighted up with more than 150 calls. Shari Pfeiler had been hearing noises for about several weeks."Then around 3:30 a.m. all hell broke loose. The booms were coming one right after another," said Shari Pfeiler as she sat on her front stoop next to her daughter Jordan. "The cats were freaking out."

Drunk Amish Buggy Driving

In New York City four young Amish adults were charged with illegal possession of alcohol after their buggy collided with a police car that was on its way to the drinking party. The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office reported that the crash occurred around  7:15 p.m. Sunday in the rural town of Sherman, near the Pennsylvania border in New York's southwest corner. The officials that were responding to the reports said that there were many people drinking in several Amish buggies on a country road. As a police car was arriving to the scene, one of the Amish buggies changed lanes and collided with the police car. The buggy flipped onto its side, causing minor injuries to one of the people on board. Police say many other buggies had fled the scene.

Snowmobiler Stuck in an Avalanche

Tyson Black and his friends were out snowmobiling in the mountains of Utah. His friend Bronson Butler was filming them with his smartphone when all of a sudden Black barreled down the mountain, one hand on his snowmobile and the other hand trying to create an air pocket around his face to protect him from what he knew would be his fate, a landing deep beneath the snow. Black was quickly lost in the lens of Butler's phone. After 20 minutes of being stuck under 10 feet of snow and Tyson's friends searching frantically, one of them his Tyson's helmet with his shovel. It took an extra 20 minutes for the group of friends to pull him out of the snow completely. Black had lost consciousness while in the snow, he later said, but was alive and alert when his friends pulled him out. His only injury was a hurt knee and he was back at work Monday.

BASE Jumper Rescued After Becoming Stuck In a Crevasse

A 30-year-old man from Casa Grande, Arizona had hiked to the top of the mountain with a group of friends, who planned to leap from the top and parachute to the ground. He leaped from Arizona's Superstition Mountains that reaches 600 feet. He is now rescued from a crevasse after becoming stuck when his parachute became caught in the side of the cliff. He had problems with his parachute pack because apparently he had it packed on backwards. The man was lodged in the crevasse that was 150 feet from the ground when he was rescued. The man was only left with a minor ankle injury, he could have plummeted to his death and died.

Tommy Jordan posted a video of himself putting 7 shots into his daughter's laptop. This was caused because his 15-year-old daughter apparently wrote a Facebook post complaining about the chores she has to do at home and the overall hassle that her parents make her life and criticizing them harshly. Tommy was sick of her complaining and disrespect so he took a video of him taking revenge for this disrespectful post.

“That right there is your laptop,” Tommy says in a YouTube video while pointing a video camera at a computer laying in a patch of dirt and grass. “This right here is my .45,” he says, moving a pistol into the frame. (This part is actually kind of funny) Then he cocks the weapon and shoots nine exploding hollow-point rounds into the laptop.

I think she learned her lesson.

STRONG WOMEN

Never underestimate a woman no matter what they look like. 80-year-old woman Dorothea Taylor, 5 feet tall and 97 pounds, used a shovel to beat back a moose that had stomped her 82-year-old husband. With no trees or other protection, Murphy dove into the deep snow. "He started to stomp. Then he turned around and stomped again. And there was nothing I could do. I was afraid he was going to kill me." Dorothea grabbed a grain shovel from the truck, and then made a bee line for the moose. Swinging mostly at the animal's rump, she whacked it at least once on the head. The moose left her husband with seven broken ribs and gashes to his head and left leg. Dorothea was left unhurt.

In 2009 Susan Powell disappeared leaving her two sons just age 2 and 4 with their father Josh Powell. The boys were just beginning to tell their grandparents details about the night that their father took them on a late-night camping trip during a blizzard, including the fact that their mother disappeared after leaving in the car with their father. Now 3 years after the mother's disappearance, Josh Powell set off an explosion at his home that killed him and his two sons. The child protective services woman  brought the kids to his house for a supervised visit. Josh Powell took the kids in the house and locked the spokeswoman out. She says she could smell the gas fumes coming from the house so she called her supervisor right away.  Josh Powell's lawyer, Jeffrey Bassett, said he received an email from his client minutes before the explosion that said "I'm sorry, goodbye," but he didn't see it until two hours later, when he was informed of the blast.

Sarah Burke Accident

Sarah Burke is a freestyle skier from Canada. Her agent and her publicist were teary-eyed at a hospital Monday as they tried to explain the lack of any prognosis report for the Olympic favorite.
A day after the accident, doctors said they repaired a tear to an artery that caused bleeding on her brain. They said she tore a vertebral artery, which is located in the neck and supplies blood to the brainstem and the back part of the brain. Those parts control many critical functions, including balance and vision.

Burke, 29, was seriously injured Jan. 10 in a training accident at the superpipe in Park City, Utah, and six days later remained sedated on a breathing tube as doctors tested her brain functions.

Reporters gathered at Salt Lake City hospital Monday for what was expected to be a discussion by doctors of Burke's most recent neurological tests and assessments.
